Secondary Finishes for Wire Mesh
To enhance the appearance of the final product, we offer a variety of secondary finishes through our outside vendors – described in the next section.
SUNON is happy to assist in the early design stages. We can help identify the appropriate raw material for a desired secondary finish that fits the aesthetics of your project. Typical secondary finishes applied to the wire mesh include powder coating, decorative plating, passivation, as well as hot-dip galvanizing. When appropriate, SUNON Wire Cloth can facilitate the specified finish and deliver the fabricated materials ready to install using our outside vendors. Please contact us to discuss your next project design goals.
Please note: Specialty finishes on metal such as Antique Plating, involve the human element during processing. With this, comes a degree of variability in the final outcome. Slight variations in darkness and brightness will exist from one production run to another. While SUNON Wire Cloth does provide samples of these finishes, a level of deviation from these samples must be factored into the design decisions.
358 Anti Climb Mesh
Our Stainless Steel 358 Mesh, also known as anti-climb mesh and security mesh, is designed for high-security applications. This robust and durable mesh offers excellent resistance to cutting and climbing, ensuring maximum protection.
The 358 mesh effectively prevents unauthorized access due to its rectangular spacing of horizontal and vertical wires, making it unclimbable while still allowing visibility. The panels are designed to be installed upright, with dimensions of 2400mm vertical by 1200mm horizontal. The mesh features 75mm spacing running vertically and 13mm spacing running horizontally.
Common Applications
- High security fencing- airports & rail corridors, sub stations
- Infrastructure and utility sites – sub stations & power plants
- Industrial and commercial property protection
- Machinery guards
- Bridge balustrade infills as anti climb fencing
