T-430 stainless steel wire cloth is principally used with food products, chemicals, and appliances given its previously mentioned resistance to nitric and organic acids. T-430 has similar resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting as T-304, thus T-304 is selected over T-430 where improved welding and cold forming ability is required. When improved welding, cold forming, and significantly better corrosion resistance is required, T-316 is selected over T-430. In a cost critical setting that can accept lower corrosion resistance, T-410L may be chosen over T-430.
