Stainless steel wire mesh is a high-performance metal mesh product woven or welded from high-quality stainless steel wire. It integrates excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, high temperature resistance, mechanical strength, stable mesh structure and long service life. 2.1 Common Material Grades
  • AISI 304: General-purpose stainless steel, good corrosion resistance and formability, suitable for neutral atmosphere, water treatment, daily industry, general filtration and protection scenarios.
  • AISI 304L: Ultra-low carbon 304 stainless steel, effectively reduces intergranular corrosion risk after welding, suitable for welded components and weakly corrosive medium environments.
  • AISI 316: Molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel, significantly improved chloride ion corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance and high temperature stability, suitable for marine, chemical, coastal, food and pharmaceutical high-demand environments.
  • AISI 316L: Low-carbon 316 stainless steel, optimal corrosion resistance after welding, widely used in high-corrosion, high-cleanliness and high-temperature working conditions.

  1. Weaving & Processing Types
3.1 Woven Wire Mesh (Main Category)
  1. Plain Weave The most conventional weaving process, warp and weft wires interweave one over one under. Features uniform openings, flat surface, high permeability, easy cleaning; widely used for conventional screening, filtration and protection.
  2. Twill Weave Warp and weft wires interweave two over two under, with denser structure and higher bearing capacity. Suitable for high-precision filtration, fine particle classification and high-pressure working conditions.
  3. Dutch Weave (Reverse Dutch Weave / Double Dutch Weave) Adopts thick warp wires and thin weft wires, or double-layer dense weaving structure. Features ultra-high density, small and uniform openings, strong pressure resistance and precise filtration; dedicated for liquid/gas precision filtration, polymer melt filtration, pharmaceutical and chemical fine separation.
3.2 Welded Wire Mesh Stainless steel wires are arranged longitudinally and transversely, welded firmly at intersections. Features flat mesh surface, high structural rigidity, not easy to deform; suitable for breeding cages, protective fences, construction isolation, mechanical guardrails, storage separation. 3.3 Crimped Wire Mesh Wire rods are pre-crimped and then interlocked and woven. Features strong firmness, impact resistance, not easy to loose; suitable for mine sieving, vibrating screening, coal grading, gravel filtration and heavy-duty screening.

7.1 Packaging Standard
  • Rolled Products: Waterproof plastic film wrapping + woven bag / kraft paper outer packaging; for export, fumigated wooden frame, plywood box or carton reinforcement is available to prevent extrusion, friction and moisture damage during transportation.
  • Sheet Products: Single-layer or stacked packaging with interlayer paper isolation, fixed with strapping tape to avoid surface scratching and deformation.
  • Custom Packaging: Special labeling, moisture-proof, shockproof and export packaging can be provided according to customer requirements.
7.2 Storage Requirements
  1. Store in a dry, ventilated, cool and rainproof indoor environment, avoid open-air storage and direct rain soaking.
  2. Keep away from acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive chemicals and humid gas sources.
  3. Do not stack heavy objects on the product to prevent compression deformation.
  4. Avoid sharp friction, collision and scratch on the mesh surface during handling.
  5. Transportation Notes
  6. Handle with care during loading, unloading and transportation, prohibit throwing, dragging and heavy impact.
  7. Take rainproof, moistureproof and sun protection measures during long-distance transportation.
  8. Fix the product firmly to prevent sliding, rolling and mutual extrusion damage.
  9. For export transportation, comply with international maritime, land and air transport packaging safety norms.
  10. Installation & Use Notes
  11. Before installation, check product specifications, material, size and appearance integrity to confirm matching with working condition requirements.
  12. When cutting the mesh, use professional metal cutting tools; wear protective equipment to avoid scratch by burrs.
  13. When fixing and installing, keep the mesh flat and properly tensioned; do not pull violently to prevent wire breakage or hole deformation.
  14. In high-corrosion, high-temperature or high-flow scouring environments, select corresponding material grade (316/316L recommended) to ensure service life.
  15. For filtration and sieving scenarios, clean mesh deposits regularly to maintain permeability and working efficiency.
  16. Do not use stainless steel wire mesh in contact with strong oxidizing acids, molten alkali and other ultra-violent corrosive media beyond its performance range.
  17. Welding processing should be operated by professionals; for low-carbon grades 304L/316L, post-weld passivation treatment can be selected to improve corrosion resistance.
  18. Maintenance & Cleaning
  19. Regularly remove surface dust, impurities and attachments with clean water, compressed air or soft brush.
  20. For oil and dirt contamination, use neutral detergent or alcohol for wiping; prohibit strong acid/alkali cleaning agents.
  21. After cleaning, keep the mesh surface dry to avoid residual liquid causing local corrosion.
  22. For damaged, deformed or locally corroded mesh, replace it in time to avoid affecting normal use.
  23. Precision filtration mesh should be cleaned and maintained regularly according to working conditions to extend service life.
